...happened in Myrtle Beach and it was awesome!! i knew it was going to be a good day when who do i meet at my hotels elevator but Johnny 2 bags! i have to admit i didn't recognize him at first. he must've gotten a chuckle from me saying "i bet you're here for the SD show" but then it dawned on me! "shit, that looks like the guitar player from the DVD!!" he was cool, asked my name and shook my hand. i told him what a fan i am (but not in an ass kissing way) and that it's my first SD show. he was telling me how great Atlanta was for the band the night before.
the show was great! i liked the Explosion but thought Tiger Army sucked. i was reluctant to stay on the floor, it was kinda crazy but i really didn't want to watch from the balcony. GOOD DECISION!! i started about 3 rows back from the stage but made my way, or rather was pushed into the very front and once there held on! shit man, i been waiting 8 years for that night! no way i was giving up that spot! the chick next to me was getting pissed about being kicked in the head by the crowd surfers but i kinda got a kick (no pun intended) from them. especially the guy who, when he made it to the front was crying "where's my shoe!?!?" what a pussy!! and i got my all time fav song 'When She Begins' plus some other favs. and the new stuff sounded great too! i don't get the people who diss 'Nickels and Dimes' it sure sounded good live. a highlight was Mike spotting a kid and bringing him to the front. poor kid looked scared to death up there. after asking his name and age he goes "11 years old and at a SD show..on a school night!" it was Mike's salute to the new school.
next day damn if i don't bump into Johnny again! he remembered my name! i told him how much i loved the show. as i'm getting myself some coffee i see other band members walking through the lobby but no Mike. there's a taxi waiting for them so i'm thinking Mike will come down soon but he never did. apparently he travels separately. or maybe he already was waiting in the taxi. i was tempted to go out and talk to the band but i didn't want to be a dick

Sounds great man, at the Atlanta show, Mike arrived seperately. He was in hiw own rental car driving, with some other kid with him, looked to be around 21 or so, then Johnny 2-Bags arrived with Matt Freeman sometime later in a seperate veichle.

I dunno. Everone says he likes being to himself.. I just know what I saw him ariving seperatley. There were some younger women there that actually drove off in his veichle after he entered the tabernacle. They weren't his wife, they were dark headed, looked to be very young, like 21 or so. I dunno if they mighta been some of the rest of the bands wifes,g/fs,etc or what.
